Today I opted to skip the zoo to go to 姨媽's house to rest and hang.
I left at around 10am and got there about 11am.
姨爹' s lil sis was still there but she left about 11:30am.
姨媽 made me lunch - fried egg and onion soup noodle.
1) heat oil, fry spring onion.
2) scramble the eggs, wait until charred so the egg smells good.
3) add some soy sauce, let caramelised. Add yellow wine.
4) add hot water.
5) can add some more yellow wine here if ready added. Or just add here.
6) boil noodles, and cook in soup pot for a bit before plating.
Shortly after we headed to buy mum's sesame powder, and then send it off at the post office. On the way there we stopped at a fruit shop and they ended up having the honey belle pear?! I couldn't find it in Countdown before I left, lol. What the hell! 姨媽 bought me two and I had one when I got back.
I sent Lake's gift and it cost $498 for 850g (volumetric was 1.7kg though).
Once back at the house, I finished off the postcards and then went down to send them.
God I was so tired though, and struggled to stay awake.
Went off to the post shop and once back I snoozed.
I really did sleep, and really tired.
Then 姨媽 woke me up for pre-dinner which was 冬粉炒大白菜. The dongfen was fat and clear. Super yummy.
And some liang ban cucumbers.
姨媽 cooked some 番茄炒蛋 and 四季豆肉絲. Yummy! With brown rice.
表姐夫 also fried up some turnip cake and I tried 1 slice. It was Canto style and quite yum but I think I still prefer the Tai style with no flavouring.
Yulun (the boy) was reading Cat Warriors. Everyone had dinner and 表姐 gave me a toner with ceramide to try.
表哥 came just as I was getting ready to leave. He was obviously tired and I let him have dinner.
I said bye to everyone. Yushin was in an Elsa dress and was playing shy.
Gonna miss 姨媽... Hopefully I can come back at the end of the year.
Heading back now and early start tomorrow.
