Taiwan Day 24 (Taipei 2)

I got up at around 8:30am today and 表姐夫 had gotten breakfast and left it on the table because 姨媽 can't ride scooter anymore because she's over 75 and haven't gone to retest/renew her license.

After I had breakfast and 姨媽 was ready, we went to the 菜市場.

We got a few things and meat is really expensive now. She paid $550 for near a kg of pork (or what looks like almost a kg). Some of the veges are expenny now too.

We got a luffa, two long as eggplant, some fruit (papaya and mandarin)...

We also picked up mum's sesame powders. The shop lady was like asking me as if she was trying to match make loooool.

After we got back home I started vacuuming the floor and got really intimidated it cause the dust was so think it's satisfying sucking it out...

We stopped for lunch and I was halfway done. We went to 三老村 just down the road. But before that 姨媽 went to withdraw cash and something was wrong with her card. So we had to go into the post office branch and ask. Turns out 姨媽 only realised she used the wrong card after applying for a new one because the customer rep said the card was too old and the chip isn't stable. It cost $100 for a new card because of the chip shortage.

Then 姨媽 realised she forgot to turn the stove off so we went back to do that. Then down to lunch it's like 1:30pm.

We had dumplings and it was really good. Their dumplings are big. Also renkon. Nice and tangy.

Their chilli is pickled with some onion so it's tangy too.

On the way back after lunch I stopped by at the stationary store and checked if they had any mailing tubes. They only had the plastic art tubes.

Back home, I had some tea and then continued with the vacuuming. That took us to around 4pm.
After... I mopped the floor and that took us to 5pm.
So satisfying.

小毛 (表哥's younger son) came at like 4:30pm and he showed me his piano performance upon prompting from 姨媽. His older brother plays the violin. His mum arrived later.

Then the rest of the family apart from 貝貝 (表姐's older son) who was at a 補習班 until like 9pm. Weeeeh.
He comes home, and then goes straight to doing homework, and the way his parents talk to him is like berating him. I feel. So bad for him. He has no time to rest or play.

Before bed, Cindy 雅心 played an incomplete and mixed deck of cards with me 心臟病. Then I got really sleep and got ready for bed but she went into my bed and wouldn't get out so I had to leave for her to get bored and come back later though.

When I went to bed 貝貝 was having some instant noodles as a snack. Seems like he still has some academic stuff to do. Poor kid, he's neuro divergent too and the way his parents are approaching his homework is not working.
