I got up later today and still felt tired. Sorted some stuff out, went to buy some stuff for the parents, and then got home and got ready to cook the cockles we harvested yesterday.
Three of them were dead (stayed open even after tapping them). There were also noodles so I cooked the noodles first, and then the cockles in rice wine, soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, ginger, garlic, chilli, spring onion, and basil!
It turned out really good! Some of the cockles didn't spit out all the sand though lol. Yummy. Taiwan basil just different.
Had a rest, and then ended up confirming plans with 小智 to go shop and eat at 一中. 二叔 said we leave at 3:30pm and he can drop me off on the way to pick up my cuz's aunt for their hospital appointment.
Aunt's 二姨媽媽 and husband 二姨丈 both got into the car and I was trying to finish blogging as well on the way there. There wasn't much traffic so we got there earlier than expected. They got dropped off at the hospital and then 二叔 arrived at grandma's house. 小智 needed to pee and 二叔 already got off the car to ring the doorbell.
Awkward lol. I couldn't leave the car empty?? But he came back and we got there. Then 小智 came and he dropped us off at 一中街.
We started off with a little walk around and seeing what stalls we might like to eat at.
Then 小智 realises he forgot to do the 5pm incense offering so we decided to go back home to do that. On the way it started spitting as we reached the newly established 菜市場. I saw they had 雞蛋糕 and decided to buy some. $50 for a bag. They had Spongebob moulds - Sandy, Patrick, Spongebob, Mr Krabs, Gary, and then a Snoopy. We walked back and the rain was still spitting. We mused that it could be 奶奶 telling us to go back home quickly.
When we got back 小智 realised he forgot to take the laundry in. Ohhh maybe it was grandma telling us to hurry home. We then offered 4 incense (1 extra for me) onto the altar.
虎妞 was in the cat tree and didn't budge, looked at us sleepily.
麥芽 was in the living room chilling.
We ate the 雞蛋糕 while waiting to see if the rain would subside or we might have to do an uber eats or similar. But the rain did ease up and we went back out. I said bye to 爺爺 奶奶 as I didn't know if I'll stop back before heading home.
So we first went for the 大熱狗，then I went for my 地瓜球，and 小智 went for his deep fried shrooms.
We first walked around while eating the hotdog, and stopped at a big bil to finish eating. I saw a Windbreaker set up.
The seats were still wet... Then I followed as 小智 went inside the Plaza with heaps of arcade machines. There were some Maimai machines!
Someone was going hard with gloves.
There were heaps of crane machines too and the floor was bigger than anticipated.
After that, we got our next foods.
Next we started to hit the animanga shops.
First was Mag Freak, where I found a translated version of Naoki-sensei's book! And also a Zelda shoulder bag which I debated whether or not to get it as a gift for a friend. 小智 had to leave his food at the trolley by the door as the store said no food or drinks.
I ended up deciding no as it was a bit pricey and a Web review said it felt like it couldn't take something too heavy.
There was a drinks store next door with outdoor tables and we decided to get drinks and sit down to eat the shrooms.
I got a charcoal brewed red tea and 小智 got something with 麵糊 in it.
After a rest and break we went to 捷比2店. I found a sole can of Knuckles drink amongst everything else. xD
Outside this store in the clearance box we found a Dōten something? Umamusume character with sky blue hair 小智 liked. ??!!!?! Score! Best find of the day for him lol.
Then we went to the main/original 捷比 shop. I noted the ppm was always red... Because they're no HVAC in a normal building and no windows. Rip.
I did see these funny as Chainsaw Man merch though roflmao. So unhinged.
We were pretty much done and 二叔 rang us to ask how we were doing and if it w raining I'll come pick you up?? We were inside so didn't notice it staring to rain.
So we finished up and whilst waiting, we went back to the plaza big bil to pee and went back out to wait for 二叔 to pick up.
Once he arrived, we dropped 小智 back home and I wished him good luck on his public servant studies and test.
Then back home, shower and bed.
Wow. So tired.
